About
We produce designs and studies in the fields of architecture, interior and urbanism. We work to pursue an experimental approach towards researching new cultural and urban conditions. This collaborative approach is based on layering of programmatic and environmental requirements, new computational design tools as well as materials and craft methods to impact sustainable future design solutions.
Zamuch was established in London in 2000 by Zahira Nazer. Having graduated from Architectural Association's Design research Laboratory, Zahira worked at the offices of Zaha Hadid architects where she was a project architect for the Shaykh Zayed bridge in Abu Dhabi. Zahira later worked with Arup Urban Design on major masterplans to include BSKYB vision 2020 outline planning application. In 2005 Zahira was appointed as the urban Design Advisor for the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation on the Canning Town and Customs house Masterplan. Zahira's role was to advise the local council's canning town team, developers, and undertake urban studies to further the design agenda of the new masterplan.
Zahira has since been leading the office on various scales projects ranging from airport interior, commercial and private residential clients producing highly bespoke and exclusive interiors as well as customised architectural facades experimenting with new materials and building technologies.
